Anti-Aging Ingredients We Believe In

When we feel and look our best, it’s such a confidence builder – at every age. Embracing who you are and being comfortable within yourself always shines through from the inside out.  And transformative skincare that keeps your complexion hydrated, radiant and healthy always gets a smile in the mirror – no matter how many candles are on the next birthday cake!

Brands use the term “anti-aging” so often, but it should really be “aging beautifully” instead. Ricardo and Pilar (Co-Founders) and Debbie D’Aquino (Care Skincare Head of Product Innovation) combined their extensive product knowledge and consulted with experts to find the best, safest, most clinically proven ingredients to support your skin’s health, supply much-needed hydration, boost collagen, and visibly repair and smooth wherever needed.

To create a transformative skincare routine, you need these four proven, supercharged ingredients. Read on!

RETINOL

Can you imagine an ingredient that gently transforms your skin as you sleep? To avoid skin irritation, Tireless Retinoid Night Serum utilizes Granactive Retinoid™  which is a delivery system for the active ingredient hydroxypinacolone retinoate (HPR). Unlike Retin-A and retinol, HPR is unique in that it produces little to no irritation.

The happy news is you get all the Vitamin A benefits: visibly reduced dark spots, lines, wrinkles, a refinement of large pores, stabilized oil production, increased cell turnover and a collagen boost without severe irritation. With consistent nightly use, you’ll see this product is a radiant complexion game changer when you wear an SPF of 30+ daily.

It’s safe to use on the neck as well to improve firmness and smooth lines (but again, wear SPF of 30+ there, too). Just consult with your doctor first if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding before you use any product with retinol.

VITAMIN C

Hooray for Vitamin C! Ascorbic Acid is both a potent antioxidant and skin-soothing agent that can improve the appearance of the signs of aging.  By the way – this delivery method is the most researched of any Vitamin C type when it comes to your skin. Vitamin C plays an important role in collagen synthesis, making it a vital molecule for skin’s health.  As a matter of fact, both dietary and topical Vitamin C may have beneficial effects on skin cells, and some scientists believe that Vitamin C may actually prevent and treat UV-induced photo damage.

PEPTIDES

Scientifically speaking, Peptides are short chains of amino acids. They act as “building blocks” of proteins like collagen, keratin and elastin which create healthy, resilient and firmer skin – exactly what we want! In Care Skincare formulas, a special blend of Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 & 7 stimulates the regeneration of collagen by triggering skin cells to create more collagen and elastin, renewing skin and visibly reducing lines and wrinkles.

HYALURONIC ACID

Hydration on multiple levels is key to the anti-aging process. Skin is over 90% water, so without hydration and a strong moisture barrier (your skin’s first line of defense), your complexion is prone to dryness, redness and irritation.  Free radicals can start to penetrate and damage your skin’s support system, which means lines and wrinkles can start if skin doesn’t maintain the proper levels of hydration. That’s why Hyaluronic Acid is featured in all five Care Skincare formulas, even in our cleanser + toner and retinol serum. This supermolecule is naturally produced by our body to keep tissues hydrated, so it also plays a major role in visibly plumping and smoothing existing fine lines brought on by dehydration too – giving skin back its “bounce.”

DON’T FORGET SPF!

As an added bonus, here’s one of the all-time best anti-aging tips: don’t forget sunscreen! Prevention is always easier than repair. Protecting your skin from the sun’s damaging rays (yes, they’re present on cloudy and rainy days too) will be essential in your daily routine, especially when using a retinol product.

With Care,

Michelle
